A Fluid Bed Processor (FBP) with a top spray arrangement is widely used to form granules by agglomeration. During this process, liquid is sprayed from a spray gun onto the fluidized powder causing agglomeration to take place and granules are formed. The granules are also simultaneously dried in the chamber.
The extended height of the fluid bed’s retarding chamber provides a larger area, which enables the powder to fluidize more effectively. Fluid bed processors are available in various sizes, with batch capacities ranging from 5 KG to 350 KG.
